Area 51 Raid: They Come in Peace, So Far

After more than 2 million people signed up for the joke-instigated Facebook event, the “Area 51 Raid” is now in full swing. Hundreds have flown from all across the United States to take part in the event. Friday, a band of around 100 people, approached an Area 51 gate armed with signs, where police stood guard.

Ohio child sex trafficking sting nabs more than 100, including church leader, ER doctor: report

104 suspects were arrested in Ohio, in a massive operation in attempts to shut down human trafficking and child sex. Included in the arrested, 24 of the men were detained after they arrived at an unnamed location with the intention of meeting a child for sex.

“They show up with sex toys, they show up with lubrication, they show up with things that clearly somebody isn’t going to show up to a house with, unless they intended to engage in sexual activity.” Said Steven Tucker, of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Two killed, seven wounded in shootings in Columbia Heights, Rhode Island Ave. NE, D.C. police say

Thursday, nine people were shot in Washington, D.C., two of victims suffered critical injuries that lead to death. D.C. Police say they’re looking for a light-colored Nissan sedan with an “unknown tag” number that is believed to have involvement regarding the case. It is unclear what led to the shooting.
